imalance theme removing roll over and click from images

    hello all
    im new to wp.
    im using the imbalance theme and would like to remove the rollover function from the images.so that im just left with the images….no text/no opacity change.
    i’d also like to remove the ability to click on images,so if i could stop the pointer becoming a hand that would be nice also.

    im also having trouble with my menu
    when i click on about and contact the
    text on those pages is moving around.
    very sore head!
    any help would be much appreciated
