Hard coding, limited fonts, no support for RTL
-
I have worked with the newsletter plugin for two weeks and I can confidently provide this feedback.
1. it comes with very little styling you can configure. You have to manually style almost everything by using custom css code that only a developer can help you with. The default sign-up form and email are not at all something you would want to use in non-ascii languages. This is also true for the premium version.2. images sent through the newsletter do not appear in gmail. The plugin author did not provide ANY help in trying to find out why and fix that.
3. The software is advertised as “the most advanced newsletter plugin for WordPress”. What I found is coding practices from the 1970s… Hardcoding is by no means acceptable, not in 2019…. I had to open each and every one of the email templates and edit them one by one replacing the hard coded English!
4. Newsletters have no option to be RTL.
3. Fonts in newsletters have to be part of a very limited set of fonts which are all ugly in non-ascii languages.
4. the drag and drop email composer is great.
5. The premium modules are great.
