Immediately block the IP of users who try to sign in as these usernames

  • Whenever I try to add names to this list and click on save, a little red text box appears and disappers in the lower right hand side of the screen, but a little spinner sits and spins perpetually next to the save button, and no changes are ever saved.

    Has anyone else encountered this?

    Is there a fix or work around?

    I already have two users in this list that I successfully added a long time ago, but I have not been able to add to the list for quite a while now. Every time I try, I get this same behavior.

    Are you able to save any other options? It sounds like either

    1. Wordfence is not able to save options in which case there may be a problem with your database (you can check this on the Wordfence diagnostics page, look for any comments about corrupt tables).

    2. There is a plugin conflict of some sort that is causing JavaScript errors. You can check this by visiting the page where you are having issues while keeping a browser console open. Check the console for anything red. More specifically, check it for JavaScript errors.

    You can also try deactivating all plugins except Wordfence and see if you are able to save your options then. If you are, you know one of the other plugins are causing an issue (probably breaking your admin-ajax).
