Impact of Changing PayPal Email on Subscription Renewals (Using PayPal Standard)

  • Hi YITH Team,

    I’m currently using PayPal Standard as the payment gateway for subscriptions on my website. I am considering changing the PayPal email that receives subscription payments to a new one in the PayPal standard gateway.

    My question is: if I update the PayPal email address inside the PayPal standard, in the Woo Commerce Payments section, will this affect the status or processing of existing subscriptions linked to the old PayPal email? Will I still receive subscription payments as usual on their due dates, or do I need to take any additional steps to ensure a smooth transition?

    I would appreciate any guidance or clarification on how this change might impact my subscription renewals on the old PayPal account.

    Hello @yassinelk99,

    all subscription created with the old account will not work on the site because you need to change the IPN for the new one

    Thank you for the clarification regarding the IPN settings. Could you please advise on the best solution to ensure the stability of subscription renewals linked to the old PayPal account? I want to make sure these renewals continue without interruption during this transition.
