Implied consent?

    Hi
    you give the option to choose between “active” and “explicit” agreement.
    But in another part you talk about “implied consent”:

    If you use implied consent with the consent dialog, you must mention that a continued usage of your website (without answering the consent dialog) is the same as consenting.

    What does implied mean?
    “active” or “explicit”?

    Explicit consent is a visitor browsing your website, performing an affirmative action to give consent to cookies.

    This means only when consent has been given, the cookies are allowed to be set into their browser.

    Implied consent is usage based in many ways. Clicking on a link in the website, refreshing the website or scrolling on the website, the visitor provides consent by performing any of these actions.

    Sorry, but we dont understand each other.

    You say in the settings:

    WHEN do we have “implied consent”??
    When we chose the option “active” or “explicit” agreement??

    Its a bit like this:
    “If you haven chosen a car you need to fill it with gasoline”, but you only offer bycicles and inlineskates

    Active is implied consent.

    It is an old term for it.

    You can also go to your Cookiebot Manager and see the description for the “active” option. It is stated:

    “Website visitors ignoring the consent dialog automatically consents to all cookies by continued use of the website”.
