Hello, I had to change the theme of my website and store, therefor I am working on a test-surrounding. But before transferring the whole website to the life-surrounding, I need to import all the vendor settings, products etc. from the old to the new website.
Can you please let me know how I can manage that without losing anything?
    Thank you.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

You may change site theme anytime. Vendor data are not depending upon site theme.

But there is option to import/export vendor data/settings. For the purpose you have to import/export whole database.

Hi, thank you for your reply.
I had a big problem with my old website. So I needed to rebuild it from scratch. And because I didn’t want to do this in life surrounding, I did it in a test environment.
Is there maybe another way only to export / import wcfm-related data so I can be absolutely sure not to import the problem I had before?

Sorry, WCFM does not have any such option to import/export setting data.

You have to migrate database for the purpose.

I thought about it, but if I import the whole old database to the new site, then I overwrite all the new settings like colors etc., right? That’s not a good solution then, is it?

Sure, you may change anything from new site.

Unfortunately I do not understand your answer.
You said I should transfer the old database to the new website. But first I rebuild the website only, because the old one makes problems (if I import the old database, I transfer also the errors) and second I will overwrite all new content, which I created now laboriously with the import of the old database.
This is not a feasible way for me.
Can you please tell me if there is a way to transfer the vendors data from one website to another? After all, I won’t be the only one having such a problem. I’m sure there are others who have caught a virus or whatever and have to start all over again without losing their data.

To anybody who has the same problem: the solution is very simple:
Go to your database (phpmyadmin or your webhoster…), look for wp-users and wp-usermeta, export both and import them to the new database. Might be that you have to delete both folders in the new database before your are allowed to import them. But that’s it.
Note that you import all users with this, not only the vendors but wordpress users as well. And the passwords too.
