It did not work properly. I had to insert ID as the title, it ended up creating categories using ID no. (as it should)

Sorry, but I’m not sure if I understand. Can you please elaborate and show me some screenshots of the data in your import file (or dummy data with the same structure), and your import template/settings?

I should note that you can’t define the ID for the imported categories, WordPress will auto-generate a unique ID each time it creates a category (as it does when you manually create one). You can just define the title, description, image, etc.
