    Hello,

I have a simple blog about films. I have two main pods “Films” and “Actors”. (The blog is in Turkish, I am writing the English translations) I have one relationship field connecting “Films” to “Actors” and that is “film_actors” field. Until the last PODS plug-in update I could easily import data into “Films” pod with the actors data importing flawlessly. I am using “WP Import Export Lite” plugin for import. Since the plug-in update “film_actors” field come up empty. I tried “WP All Import” and “CIO Custom Fields Importer” combo but that also failed. All text and numeric fields import correctly in both situations but relationship field “films_actors” doesn’t import the data as it used to.

The only change I did on the site was to update PODS plugin.

Can you suggest anything else I could try?

    Thanks
    Mehmet

Do you recall what version of Pods you previously were using that was working for this part?

Also, can you provide an example value of what you are trying to import? Are they IDs for the related items?

Unfortunately I don’t know the previous version I was using.

The field was for the actors. I would create custom posts “Meryl Streep” and “Clint Eastwood” using “Actors” pod. When I wanted to import “The Bridges of Madison County” it would be in the “Title” column, the director column would be “Clint Eastwood” as text and the “Actors” field would be “Meryl Streep, Clint Eastwood” and they were both included in the “film_actors” relationship field accurately.

Check your Pods Admin > Settings and look at the option “Watch WP Metadata calls”.

Is that enabled? If it is, try to re-save the settings page and then click the Clear Pods Cache button at the top of the settings page.

Let me know if that helps resolve the issue. While you do that, I will continue on further looking into this area of the code to see if I can see where anything may have changed recently that could cause this.

This area has recently changed — If the above settings save / cache clear does not resolve the issue then I will go through and do some testing to see where the issue is and get a solution in place for you this week.

Thank you, I’ll inform you asap if the save /cache works.

    Hello Scott,

Today there was new update on the PODS plugin. I applied that update (to version 2.9.3) now the import works fine as it used to.

    Thanks for your help
