WordPress “Ecwid Ecommerce Shopping Cart” plugin errors. When importing my Woo products using “Ecwid products and categories importer” to my Ecwid store:

100 products imported OK, 200 did not.

    upload_product_image
    Server Error:18
    Parent product was not imported:200
    create_product
    Payment Required:1

I am currently subscribed to VENTURE plan that does not allow creation of variable products.

Q: If I upgrade to Business plan will all my Woo variable products be properly imported (along with all attributes) ?

  • Hi,

    Thanks for the question.

The Ecwid Venture plan allows you to add maximum 100 products to your store. On the Business plan, you will be able to add up to 2500 products. So, yes, if you upgrade to Business, you will be able to import the other products from your existing store to Ecwid.

As to the variations, they are supported by Ecwid, so you can have product variations in your store. But variations can not currently be imported from WooCommerce automatically. We will add this in future plugin updates. Meanwhile you can import base products and add options/variations manually.

    Thanks,

    Thx.

When you say 2,500 products, are you talking about 2,500 products with all its variations or 2,500 single simple products ?

in other words I have to manually set all attributes and all variants for each product ?

Also instead of BUY NOW caption on the button I selected in Design I can see ADD TO BAG.

Also, using BUSINESS PLAN, will all product images be added to a product when imported using the plugin or it has to be added manually ? I have at least 4 images + featured image per product. Thx.

2500 products with variations. So, for example a shirt with Black/Blue/Gree variations is a single product and it will count as 1, not 3.

    > in other words I have to manually set all attributes and all variants for each product ?
Yes. However, in one of the future plugin updates the import tool will be improved so you will be able to import variations as well. As to attributes, what exactly do you mean? Can you give an example?

    > Also instead of BUY NOW caption on the button I selected in Design I can see ADD TO BAG.
If I get your question right, you want to change the button label. You can edit that under Store dashboard -> Settings -> Edit store labels.

    > Also, using BUSINESS PLAN, will all product images be added to a product when imported using the plugin or it has to be added manually ? I have at least 4 images + featured image per product. Thx.
The WooCommerce import tool copies the main product images only. Additional images (gallery) is not copied yet. We will add this in the future versions.

In WP we can set product attributes, like COLOR, MODEL, etc. So COLOR can have variants like WHITE< BLACK, etc

OK, I’ll wait until these plugin updates are done..any ETA ? For now, it would just take me too much time to set everything up as I need a quick import solution.

    Thx for your support!

Got it. Yes, these will be supported in the future version of the import tool.

    > OK, I’ll wait until these plugin updates are done..any ETA ? For now, it would just take me too much time to set everything up as I need a quick import solution.

There is no guaranteed ETA on the changes, unfortunately. But we will do our best to complete it in 1.5 – 2 months.

    Thank you.

    Hi there,

    Sorry for the delay.

We released a new version of the plugin with the improved WooCommerce import tool. Now it supports product options, variations and images gallery.

Please have a look and let us know if you have any question.

    Thanks,
