Import Events from Team Manager

Error: Age range (8-9) in Event Record does not match any ‘Female’ age groups

I change the file from 9-9 to 8-9 but now the validation is on ages. I have normal meets that are 0-8 and 9-10 and 11-12.
This special one is a TM file containing 9-9. 10-10 12-12 and so on.
Do I need to create age groups for each just to load the file?
Is there a way to over this age group check on the event file load?

wp-SwimTeam can import the HYV file but not the EV3 file.

Regarding your age group issues, check this post from a while back. It reviews what you need to do to set up age groups which are a superset or overlap of other age groups.

The event import process requires that there be a matching age group defined within wp-SwimTeam or it doesn’t know what to do with that age group. The “combined” age group functionality allows you to define age groups which span multiple age groups and/or genders.

Can post the content of the Event file so I can see what the header looks like? What version of Meet Manager is generating the HYV file. It is possible Hy-tek changed the format of the file.

I have to add the age group records or it starts to load blanks.

I removed some of the validation to pass through.

I will try adding adding age groups and resetting validation again and try another test.

OK Here is what I did.

I used the COMBINED radio as my standard is for normal division meets.
The combined allow me to create various agegroups.
Example:
9 – 9 = F
9 – 9 = M
10 – 10 = F
10 – 10 = M

And so on.
This allowed me to pass the checks.

I did have to alter the input file as the hy-tek event creation from this invitational use value 0 as low or lowest and 0 as high or unlimited age.
Example age group:
0 – 13
16 – 0

So I altered each of these to match the age groups I entered in Swim team. I entered the age group using PHPADMIN. As you front end is looking for a higher value than a matching value.

I think you need to allow for only one age for event.

This meet is for 5 total events for one age and this grouping competes against each other.

Now I have this in the system.
I can get registered swimmers and create a roster file export to be handed to the event organizers.

This way we do not have to manually create the files or input all the swimmers and their events.

I have many more to enter some are different hyv files.

Do you think you can find a way to check for ZERO low and ZERO high end
If that is there to override with closest match age group defined?

Getting – Duplicate events
event Number 34B on line 27 will be ignored, duplicate event number.
I will see if I can clean it in the code.

Table is INT(11)

Not sure if I can make it alpha numeric without upseting other references.

Then the code should insert without the check for same number

Most files seem to be loading fine.

Here is what I have compiled.

1) Adding age groups for all variations.
Using combined option for these special variations.

0-0 etc.

2) Duplicate Events. Cannot be resolved unless I change table from numeric to alpha. I will test later.
By solving this TM files with events that are 34 and 34A can be loaded. Just representing them or if other code does validation check matches could cause some rewrites.

3) Missing dump of TM of only events from an event group. I would like to duplicate ONE group or meet into others. This will save time entering manually.
Scenario:
I have 5 boys and 5 girl meets each swim same events. If I manually load one, can it be dumped and reloaded into other 9 meets. I will need to dump the event file before opening registration.

4) Is there a way to read incoming file to determine age group. Basically, if 0-7 or 15-0 is not in the min – max of an age group for a gender, simply add it as part of the load? Send message that it was added, then proceed to loading event in your sequence.
