• After updating to version TablePress 1.10, I have a problem importing an Excel file. For a cell that is provided with a date, extra numbers are now being added, this was not the case before. Is there an explanation / solution for this?

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Can you please try saving the Excel file to a CSV file in Excel and then import that?

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias,

I tried to convert the Excel file (.xlsx) to CSV. But that does not work for me, then other cells are not transferred properly. Strangely I have been using this plug-in for years through importing an Excel file and overwriting it with the new Excel file. But that no longer works properly, is there no other solution?

    Hi,

the reason for this probably is a recent change in the code that is used for the Excel import. Can you maybe email me the Excel file so that I can investigate this more (the address is in the main plugin file “tablepress.php”).

However, what’s even more strange is that you are saying that other cells are not transferred properly with CSV. Do you also have an example for that?

    Regards,
    Tobias
