Import existing members

I think we need to purchase the single license to be able to import current members of our club. Our club is a brick and mortar club (special events venue and bridge club) with about 200 members. We want to import all of these members to s2members. Can we populate s2members with a csv list with a username and password for them?
We don’t want non-members to be able to register for the members only section of the site. We would rather set the members up with their login information and then send it to them.
At this time, we are not charging for the members only section of the site but perhaps in the future, once we get this up and running, maybe we would consider having members pay their annual dues through this avenue.
Another thought is to send an email to all our members and have them register themselves but we would not want them to be active until we could verify that they are in fact members of our club. Sort of like authorizing a blog post before it is posted.
