• There’s no obvious error message but I am wondering why you import exported posts and it’s live asap? Can I stop it and put it on halt to check if I want these posts online? I want to check if all older posts still fit? Especially when I import from my own personal website to one where different people write.

What I’d like to do is: Put the imported posts not live, but save as drafts.

  • If you import using this plugin, you can default the status to Draft:

@corrinarusso I was hopeing to do this without a plugin. Thought it might be useful and thought it is already implemented in WP. Too bad.

Why would you want to do this without a plugin?

Would you prefer to use the CLI?

If you import all as Published, you can manually use the Bulk editor to set them all to Draft.

    1. Because I am not admin / owner of the website. Not sure, if it they stay draft if I uninstall the plugin even if not all posts are checked properly.
    2. No.
    3. No, I cannot. There are already hundreds of posts published of the existing website, if I use bulk editor it will mark all my posts as draft. Including those already published. I don’t want that.
