• This evening I was importing folders from my WP site into NGG and all was going well until I discovered I could actually import multiple folders at a time and each would just gets it’s own import process bar. I started 5 of these and went away to get a snack and came back about 30 minutes later and they were still importing.

After cancelling the imports, I went off that page and then went back in to go back to doing one import at a time and from then on, I am not presented with a folder listing my site.

I have deactivated and reinstalled NGG Gallery and Plus at this point, with no success. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

@hamstring – You are only able to select one folder at a time … can you describe in more detail how you were able to import multiple folders at once?

    Thanks!

I have had this same problem many times. It appears to be a browser related issue. I noticed it in Google Chrome tonight. After importing a dozen or so folders, the import fails but the importing progress bar starts and runs forever. However, after checking the “manage galleries” page, no gallery has been started. Clearing my chrome cache allowed the folder list to reappear. I figured this out after switching to Firefox and finding the folder list still worked in that browser despite not showing in chrome.

Thank you for your post Gerald. I too discoverd this today. The problem is…. I subscribe to close to 100 reddit boards and don’t want to clear my cache, because I’ll lose the history on the posts i have already viewed. At one point today after deleting everything and the plug-in still not working, I decided to try IE and it worked. At that point, I realized it must be cookie/temp file related. So I do all my work in firefox, except NGG work now.

Thanks for confirming my findings today.

One more update. I was importing 77 folders, which I do about once every 3 months. Firefox just did the same thing. I think deleting the x-frame cookies allowed the folder list to display again.

@hamstring & @gerald.bird – Thanks for the updates, observations, and follow-ups … they are all much appreciated.
