I’ve tried to “Import settings from other SEO plugins and export your settings for re-use on (another) site” and it is not working. I choose my old AIOSEO in the drop down, then click “Import” and very quickly it returns a green check mark with the following “No data found from other SEO plugins.”

I reactivated my AIOSEO account and all the meta descriptions are still there. Does anyone have a suggestion to try to get it to work? I have about 150 pages to manually do if I can’t get this to work.

    Thanks for any ideas!!

    Hi @oapbl

Once you import the meta data from AIOSEO to Yoast SEO, kindly keep the AIOSEO deactivated and keep Yoast SEO activated. Then check the posts’ meta data from Yoast SEO metabox.

I have tested and tried to import data from AIOSEO to Yoast SEO and noticed the data is correctly imported from AIOSEO to Yoast SEO. You can follow the steps from this help article How to migrate from All in One SEO to Yoast SEO

Thanks so much for getting back to me. I tried it again and followed those instructions and it didn’t work. With that said, originally a handful of posts (maybe 10 out of 66) worked, but most did not. In the last couple of days I manually updated all the posts and now I will be manually doing all of the pages (about 80).

Here is an example of a page that did not work: https://organizingaplantbasedlife.com/hearty-chili-mac/ – it doesn’t have the keyphrase and the meta description is filled with “post content” instead of the AIOSEO meta description.

I am using WP Bakery as my builder and Creativo as my theme. Any advice is appreciated – it is really time consuming to do them all manually as you can imagine. Thanks so much for looking into it for me!

One of the known case is that the metadata will only be imported if there is no existing Yoast SEO metadata yet on your pages. Can you confirm by checking those affected pages?

Thank you for responding. Yes, I have confirmed that there is no existing Yoast SEO metadata in the pages. I am working on them now one-by-one and have about 50 pages left to go. Oddly, as I mentioned, it shows up on some pages – and others it does not. I think we can close this question because I don’t think it will be resolved before I do them manually. Thank you for your looking into it for me.
