• I am happy! Just wanted to say a big “Thanks!” to whomever figured that script out. I followed all the instructions, used a file over 2 megs even, and it was slick as a whistle. It took me soemthing like ten minutes too.

Only little things left I may or may not fix:
In the older entries, everywhere I used an apostrophe, it places a “?” in a black diamond.
also, now my “most recent comments” in the sidebar point to old comments, probably the last ones in the import file. I expect that to clear up when I get new comments.

Other than that, WP is AWESOME. The whole thing takes up far less space, possibly half as much, than my MT set-up ever did.

  • Thank you! It is heartening to hear that you liked the way it went. It will only get better.

The strange characters are a result of iso-8859-1 and UTF-8 problems. My guess is that your MT blog used the former and the WP blog uses the latter character encoding.

The most recent comments problem is strange, though.

Did a test comment, and that showed up on top of the list. ?? Read about the UTF-8 afterwards, but oh well.

    Still, though. WP rawks.
