It would be an immensely helpful tool if you could develop an import feature which can enable us to import game results, including player stats as well.

I’ve just covered a high school tournament featuring 16 teams and its such an arduous task to individually input all the stats.

I’m also covering another high school basketball tournament with 32 teams this coming weekend, and i dread the thought of inputting all that data manually.

I greatly appreciate what you’ve done thus far, please keep it up.

    Hi there,

    Thank you for your feedback!

We’re aiming to add an CSV import tool for events this week, currently working out the details i.e. handling more than 2 teams, player statistics format, etc.

    I’ll keep you posted ??

Just a quick update — we’re still working on the CSV import tool for events, which unfortunately didn’t make it into version 0.4 but we’re hoping to add it in the next release.

Thanx for the update! I’m eagerly waiting in anticipation.

Any update on event importing? The other imports work seamlessly and we’re eagerly awaiting the even import at our site. Loving the plugin, just dreading hand keying 100+ games for all of our teams.

Thanks again for all of the hard work.

    Hi there,

The event importer is currently being tested and will most likely be included in version 0.5 ??

I’d like to start by saying what you’ve already done with this sports plugin is absolutely fantastic. I’ve been eagerly waiting for this import feature and it has been worth the wait.

But there’s a slight problem i’m experiencing. The final totals (i.e. Points, FGM, 3PM, etc) for the second team as a whole in an event includes that of the first team as well, but the box score scores are fine and the table scores as well.

Appreciate all the work you’ve done!

    Hi again!

I’m not able to reproduce this issue using the sample data, but I’ll definitely look into it. To help me identify the issue, could you tell me what the columns names are (the first row in the CSV file)?

    Hi!

    Here’s a link: https://www.schoolofbasketball.co.za/events/2332/

In the away team’s table it shows a total score (points) of 153, whereas in the boxscore its 91. Its a recurring theme with the other events aswell, of which i imported the results of.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks for the additional info!

We found the issue and will include the fix in version 0.6. Details of the fix can be found here:

Version 0.6 has been released containing this fix.

This particular bug was a front-end output issue only, so there is no need to re-import events. The update should take care of it automatically ??

Has anyone figured out how to import and event with player stats included? The import sample (event-sample.csv) shows event and stats, however, when I import, nothing happens. No Event and no player stats included.
