    Hi there,

I have created a new site for an existing client, and imported all the customer data and order data from the old site.

The client reported that they could need see the old data under Analytics > Customers, and on investigation it looks like I need to import all the historical data. However, it is not working. I am just trying to import historical data from the 1/1/23 at this stage.

I have 4 pending scheduled actions (I read this could afect historical data import) and they are all recurring ones, so I cannot remove them from pending.

    Please advise.

    Thanks

  • Hi @peacockstrutmarketing

    Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that the historical data under Analytics is not showing on your site after importing historical data, correct?

I trust that you’ve followed the directions on this support documentation about importing historical data, correct?

If so, can you please share what happens afterwards? If a screenshot would be helpful, I’d recommend using https://snipboard.io or https://skitch.com/. You can share the direct link to the image as a response to this topic.

Additionally, I’d like to understand your site properly, please share your System Status Report that you can find via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it into your reply here.

If you could also provide the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

You could copy and paste your reply here or paste it via https://gist.github.com/ and send the link here.

    Thanks!

Hi there, I have managed to get the import to work, but on the analytics customer data it does not match the customer data on the old site. We have just over 7k custmers on the new site, but there were 12k on the old.

    Thanks

    Lucy

    Hi Lucy,

May I ask is the new site importing the customers via plugins, or via custom code?

Here there is a way to import the customers: How to Import WooCommerce Customers, using the WP All import plugin.

You can check at database level if the number of customers is the same on the new database, a SQL command like select * from wp_wc_customer_lookup; will show this information when checking the database (using a tool like PHPMyAdmin or checking directly into the database), that way you can compare the new and old database tables to see if they match:

Let us know what you find.

    Hi Lucy,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if you need any further help with this.

    Cheers!
