    Hello people,

I’m using Table press to import specifications tables for woocommerce products and then paste these shortcodes into a csv file.

Now you can import the tables with separate excel files.

Does anyone know how to link the filenames to the id? So that the id and the file name are the same?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

The table ID can be a text string also, and does not have to be a number. So, you can use the characters a-z, A-Z, 0-9, and the - in the table IDs.

However, it might be easier to have the table’s name the same as the file name. That way, if you import multiple tables from CSV files in a ZIP archive, and choose to replace existing tables, these will be replaced by comparing the files names to the table names.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hello Tobias,

    Thanks for the reply.

I understand that. But when i import it with csv files in a zip, it are new tables.

Is there some css for the new tables? When i import it the id of the tables are different of the filename.

    Thanks!

    Greets,

    Hi,

essentially, you would have to put all your CSV files into a ZIP file and import it as new tables once. Then, whenever you import the same CSV files (or just some of them) again in a ZIP file AND choose to replace the existing tables (without selecting a table that is to be replaced), the CSV files will replace those tables where the file name equals the table name.

    Regards,
    Tobias
