Import images without downloading them

    Hi!

    We have images hosted in another server. Is it possible to import images without downloading them?

    Thanks for getting in touch

    If the image is in post content then it’s possible. just uncheck Search image through content and import images wrapped in <img> tags under?Title & Content section in import step 4

    If the image is a thumbnail then it’s not possible. wordpress not allow external images as thumbnail

    Image is a “featured image”

    If the image is featured then it’s not possible. Plugin will automatically download all featured images from any server.

    Only possible if you use a dedicated plugin or theme to support external images as featured images.

    Actually I am usinge FIFU https://it.www.ads-software.com/plugins/featured-image-from-url/ and it works (manually).
    But when I import data via CSV I don’t have any chance than download image.

    Sorry but WP Import Export Lite is not tested with the FIFU plugin.

    We need time to implement and test. We will try to add support as soon as possible.
