    Looking for a business directory theme or plugin and I read a lot of recommendations for the Advanced Classifieds & Directory Pro plugin. My question is, can I add Locations in bulk, importing them to the database directly?

    Because I want to add cities/countries in my directory and they are in excel files and too many of them to add one-by-one manually.

    Thank you.

  • Hi,

    You can easily import posts/customposts/users data available in your CSV file using the WP ultimate CSV Import Free plugin.

    Doing the customization works in WP Ultimate CSV Importer Free plugin for any Directory plugin assists one to import the records on any desired field.

    Hope it helps.

    Hi,

    Very sorry. Our current version doesn’t have any tool to bulk import. But, this is already on the roadmap and can expect this in the future.
    But, still, there are some third-party plugins in www.ads-software.com website those helps to import/export custom post types and taxonomies.

    “Advanced Classifieds and Directory Pro” strictly follows all the WordPress standards. The plugin uses Custom Post Types and Custom Taxonomies to manage its data.

    Listings = acadp_listings (CPT)
    Fields = acadp_fields (CPT) linked to categories and loaded as custom fields in the listings form.

    Categories = acadp_categories (Taxonomy)
    Locations = acadp_locations (Taxonomy)

    and SETTINGS API

    So, I’m 100% sure there must be a plugin that handles export for these standard WordPress features and I can find some too. But, I haven’t tried any plugin so far. So, It’s hard to suggest any plugin for you.

    Thanks
