    Hi,

I did an import from csv and work ok, except the images that are NOT imported as external urls. No matter what i tried.

Apparently it doesn’t work. Am i missing something? Is that a bug?

Further checking this, the “dummy.csv” is imported correctly. I checked my CSV import file and all seem fine, and it IS correctly imported as title, description and all, except the images (100% correct https urls).

Importing the dummy sample file works with images. But if you EXPORT that sample file and try to import it again, images are NOT imported.

So this is a bug and nothing else.

I have spend all morning today to debug this. Using their own dummy csv, if you change just an image’s URL to something else outside demo.directorist.com, the image is not imported.

This seems strange. Anyone else has success with images importing?

    Hi @dimalifragis

    Thank you for reaching out.

Image import should work absolutely fine if the image link/url is a public url and the image is opening nicely.

Please contact our support channel ( https://prnt.sc/cKSW-z2RTXrs ) and provide the CSV file you want to upload. They will try to fix the issue for you.

Hi. I see the same pattern here as 2 years back. “Contact Support” and nothing happens, nothing is fixed. Now 2 years later, i get the same attitude.

I wonder why you follow this tactic? This kind of “downplaying” everything is doing damage to your plugin.

Why do you want to kill your own plugin, i can’t get it. Anyways ….

Here is a small sample, if you want to try it or check it.

    Hello @dimalifragis

Thank you for providing the CSV file. It helped. We have fixed this issue and updated the code in GitHub. Here is the pull request – https://github.com/sovware/directorist/pull/1688

We are going to make it live next week. If you want to use it now, you can get this from GitHub.

That is GREAT NEWS and THANK YOU.

Just tested it and works BETTER than before.

If you select one image to import, all goes well.

If you select all four image to import, something goes bad and no images are imported (from 507 images, 6 were imported). I will prepare a sample of csv with more than 1 images.

Here is a small sample csv, with multiple images in the “Belize Private Tours” listing.

So will this allow uploading of images without a file type? I have no problem uploading example.com/image.jpg. This issue is when it is example.com/image
