    Hi,

As of the 15th, and quite suddently, all of the posts that I am importing from YOUTUBE (we import from any other services) began to have problem. The new posts are imported properly, but there are no images (featured or otherwise). I’ve set the plug in to import the images to my Media Library, and I am not using any kind of custom path or anything for this. Previously, the images were being added along with the post content/video. Now, the images are not importing properly, and are showing up and “broken” image links in my Media Library. Attempting to open/edit the image in the WP Media Library results in a message saying the “image contains no data”.

Also, whenever I add a new Channel from YOUTUBE to our listing of channels that we are importing from, the default icon/logo of the channel does not import properly. So the same problem, the plug-in failing to import images from YouTube correctly, seems to also affect its ability to pull in the logo from the Channel itself when I add a new channel.

Can you please advise me as to what the problem might be? As I said, until about 2 weeks ago (15 Feb 2017), the importing of posts/videos, including images, was working flawlessly.

    Thanks!
Derek ( email me at [email protected] if you have any information )

    Hi,

Sorry to hear you’re having issues with the image uploads.

We’re not experiencing any issues with our local or public installs, so I’m hoping you can please answer these questions to start troubleshooting…

    1) Are you still having this issue?

If not, great! Please mark this ticket as resolved.

If it’s still an issue, please read on.

    2) Are you using the latest version of the plugin? It’s 1.1.4 as of right now.

    3) Is this happening during “manual” or “auto” imports?

    4) Are you able to successfully upload images via the media library and/or when you “attach” an image or add a featured image to a post?

    5) Are there any errors reported in your server error logs?

    6) What is the max upload size for your server? (And has it changed recently?)

    7) Is there sufficient disk space on your server to add new images?

    That’s all for now.

P.S. Worst case we can set up a screen share to troubleshoot, but hoping these questions/answers will help to get this resolved.

Hello, I am having the same issue with Twitch images. I have researched extensively the topic of “WordPress broken images” and “WordPress 0kb image upload” and came across several posts on the internet. I have tried all of the following recommendations and nothing has worked. I am only experiencing the broken images with your plugin. And that is, even with a fresh install of WP using the Twentyseventeen theme without ANY other plugins installed.

1.) Changed upload, wp-contents, and wp root installation folder to 777 permissions (were previously set to 755 which should have been sufficient as-is).
2.) Disabled MOD Security in my cpanel and in my .htaccess.
3.) Ensured my maximum php memory limit in my php.ini file and wp-config file were sufficient.
4.) Ensured my maximum script execution time in my php.ini file was sufficient.
5.) Ensured my server is able to use get_file_contents and put_file_contents (not a problem because I use these functions in my own php scripts).
6.) Ensured I had a strong internet connection when attempting the uploads
7.) I even switched my image processing to Imagick.
