Import plugin does not install in MU setup

  • Recipe:

    1. Create a MU wordpress installation
    2. Go to the site admin of a child site
    3. Attempt to import content

    Result –

    Import screen is blank with no error or other message

    Solution –

    Must first go to import screen of main site and install the plugin. The plugin will not install in the child, and leaves no clue as to what went wrong.

    EIther the plugin should be able to install in a child site or at least report that it can’t be installed into a child site.
