Import Posts with old Post_ID

    How i can import Posts with old “Post_ID” when i export Posts with WAI Exporter?

    When i’m importing the Export it creates new Post_ID’s.

    Hi @jensgoro

    Unfortunately, it’s not possible to manually define the Post ID. WordPress must generate a unique ID for every new post, and the posts that are created via the import are always considered to be new posts.

    If you need to reference the old ID, it’s usually best to just store it inside a custom field for the imported posts.

    it’s not possible to include the old ID in an customfield to imoport it again in this ID?

    You can store the ID inside a custom field, but you cannot assign it as the actual post ID in the database. The reason I mentioned storing it in a custom field is because you can then find that post by the custom field value if needed.
