Import Subscriber list from backed up website from Email Subscribers

    I’ve recently moved to a new host and reinstalled my website and plugins.

    I used to run Email Subscribers, but after installing the new version, my contacts list is empty.

    How do I copy the old list of several thousand emails into the new website? I can’t export from the old site as that’s just a full FTP backup to my PC.

    Any advise / how to recover the list to import into the new installation would be appreciated.

    Thanks for contacting us! We’re happy to support you.

    Since the Express plugin stores subscribers in the site database only, an FTP backup alone won’t be sufficient to retrieve old subscribers. A site database backup will also be needed. Without it, restoring subscribers won’t be possible.

    We recommend contacting your previous hosting provider to see if they still have the database backup or if you have it. Uploading that will resolve your concern.
