Import subscribers can't get past first screen
-
I am trying to set up MailPoet to replace my current automated post notifications system for an elementary school PTA website.
I am testing the Import Subscribers function (which must work to allow me to from the old solution to MailPoet; if it can’t be made to work in free version, certainly no point paying for the premium version):
I enter, per the specified format, a simple header line (email;name) and a single subscriber line (;)to be imported via the “copy paste in a text box” method.
When I click the Next Step button, the screen is white, with the URL https://<my site domain>/wordpress/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wysija_subscribers&action=lists displayed in the address bar.
I have followed all suggested methods from your KnowledgeBase, installed the memory change plugin (2 year old, no update…) and increased to 128MB, edited config files as suggested in an old support thread, deactivated most plugins, all with no effect.
This exact same behavior happened both before and after upgrade of the WP core to 4.3.
I have never had this kind of behavior in my site, and the site is not a heavy memory user; it’s pretty bare bones.
Help, please… I’d love to make this plugin work. Everything I read about it makes me think it would be an ideal solution for my site and small subscriber list.
