Import taxonomies from another plugin

    I have installed on a website the plugin Simple Taxonomies from Yoast a few years ago but I see there’s no maintenance for it. What is the best way I can export the taxonomies I create with that plugin and move to Custom Post Type UI?

    In regards to where in the database all the content is stored, it shouldn’t be any different. So there’s no actual export/import needed here. What would need to be done is registering the same taxonomy slugs with CPTUI, and matching up the arguments used from Simple Taxonomies, with the remaining parts of CPTUI.

    This adds a new place where the taxonomy is registered, and then you could remove the previous plugin. If all goes well, like it really should, there should be zero interruption in registration process.
