Import Word .doc with images?

    Can this plugin manage the import of .doc files as posts?

    Each .doc file has at least 7 images, some a few more, & they are embedded using “Anchor –> As Character”.

    They are mostly roughly 800×600 .jpg images, though there are a few .png in the mix.

    I have about 100 documents I’d like to import & manually inserting all of the images makes the project unlikely.

    If not can you refer me to a plugin that can handle this, please?

    No, the importer does only HTML. You would have to save the Word files as HTML before using this plugin.

    A Word importer does exist as part of PressBooks, but I don’t think they’ve released it as a separate plugin.
