I want to import the existing post taxonomy (categories and tags) into the FG Media taxonomy.
My site has 1800+ posts over 5 years with 6000+ images and my plan is to convert the best images in the older posts into gallery items.
I’m Ok with creating and populating the galleries. I’m not happy at having to copy the entire post taxonomy item by item into the media taxonomy. There ought to be a simple way to import the post taxonomy into the media taxonomy.
    Is there?

    Hi @manicolaus

Do you not think that would cause a lot of duplication in your WP database?

Have you tried the Post Query datasource in FooGallery? It allows you to build a dynamic gallery from posts and will use the featured image as the image.

    https://fooplugins.com/documentation/foogallery/pro-expert/loading-galleries-post-query/

The only limitations I can think of at the moment, is the ability to exclude certain posts, and then also pulling in the post tags or categories as the filters. IF you can test this out and send me feedback, hopefully, I will be able to get it working for you. And hopefully you will not have to duplicate your post content to create your galleries.

    Let me know
