• My wordpress install goes back 9 years. It’s rickety. It has old plugins and is generally a complete cluster fsk; redirects are icky and well, I was thinking to myself “Is it possible to scrub and start over”? Specifically, is there a way I can do an import of the databse to a new wordpress install, keeping the posts and page content, the media (pictures) and the users, while just leaving the rest behind? I don’t know enough about wordpress database and dependencies to know if that’s even possible. Please tell me it is. ??

  • I think it’d be easier to hire someone to copy and update to new wordpress platform manually. Because wordpress database will also many changes in itself, so it’d be difficult for you to map out to new database structure.
