Important loss of traffic

    Hi guys!

    since the 23th march I have an important loss of traffic (-40% unique users) in 2 of my websites.
    I did no important changes in that period I think.

    I think this is a tracking problem with Analytics because I had no ranking problem with Google in this week (I use SemRush to know it).

    Also I checked in Google Webmaster Tools and seems like the click tracked by them are a lot bigger then the clicks I can see in my Google Analytics account for the same days.

    I have also contacted my server support and they say there is no hacking problems.

    I use the version 6.1.6 of your plugin and I don’t know what else to do to understand the cause of the loss of traffic.

    Another very strange stat I see from the 23th march (vs. previous period) is a big loss of -24% of New Sessions.

    Can you help me, please?

  • Do you use AMP by any chance? If so, could you check your stats for your AMP pages? (see my new ticket concerning the loss of traffic due to AMP pages not being tracked anymore)

    With a percentage that large it sounds like either an issue with tag output or more likely with referral spam. If you shoot us an email at MonsterInsights.com/contact via the presale form we can investigate your Google Analytics property.
