Welcome to the WP Symposium Toolbar plugin support forum. A couple of guidelines to follow before posting…

Try the development version. While I’m releasing the plugin at a reasonable pace, I do update my trunk often. If you have actually encountered a bug, chances are high others have too and I might have already fixed it in the development version.

Make sure the problem you’re experiencing is indeed caused by WP Symposium Toolbar, by deactivating all other plugins and enabling a default WordPress theme. I know this advice is too easy to give, as you will want ultimately all these plugins to play together on your site. Unfortunately, many issues with WP Symposium Toolbar are due to a plugin / theme conflict: roles, menus, display of Toolbar and its items, there are a lot of plugins and themes that affect these. That said, isolating the issue will help us plugin authors, to come up with an adequate solution.

Open your own thread. This is a generic rule you will be deemed to follow in all support forums, www.ads-software.com included. It avoids sending notifications to people who participated to an old thread, but may not be interested in your issue. It avoids bringing back on top of the list a thread marked as “resolved”, that the support team will simply disregard as it’s supposed to be resolved. And it helps with bug tracking, if there is a bug to fix.

Other than that, your issues and requests will be most welcome. Along with your post, please specify if you’re running WP Multisite, and if you’re running WP Symposium. In order for support to be accurate, we do need to know the version of WPST being used (if it is the development version, the version number as shown at the Plugins page).

Last but not least, you are kindly asked not to open a topic and then forget it. When you open a topic, please follow up on any question I may have while investigating. When your issue is resolved, please mark the topic as such so others know what you did or that a potential bug was fixed.

    Thank you,
    Guillaume Assire aka AlphaGolf
