Hello all, we noticed that the feeds generated with the google shopping template are not inserting the regular prices to the xml file, therefore, google is rejecting all the products.

I have 2 other feeds and all of them are missing the price value. It’s quite obvious that there’s a systemic problem.

Product prices haven’t changed, it seems it could be some change in the woocommerce data structure?

I tried mapping the “Price” field instead of the “Regular Price” and the problem was still there. No value was added.

Please this is quite a critical issue so I’d appreciate your help.

    Thanks

  • Hello,

    Thanks for reaching us,

So far we could understand you’re getting blank price on your feed.

There might be a site-specific issue or a conflict with another plugin. For the quickest resolution, please use these attributes for the regular and sale price. Hopefully, your issue has been resolved. If the issue persists, please reach us from here.

Thanks Shahed, that was really useful and worked like a charm.

Side question though.. while for Sale Price (discounted) we map to “price” and not “sale_price”? Is there a functional reason for that?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

    Thanks for reaching us,

I’m glad to hear that everything is working now. Let me explain the difference between the ‘Price’ and ‘Sale Price’. The ‘Price’ is determined by the available prices of a product. If a product has a value for the ‘Sale Price’, it will display the ‘Sale Price’. If there is no Sale Price value, it will display the regular price as the ‘Sale Price’ in your feed. On the other hand, ‘Sale Price’ only displays the discounted or Sale price value from WooCommerce. If there is no value, the feed will get an empty value.

Thanks Shahed! Totally understand. Thanks for the explanation. So Price shows a sort of ‘final price’.

Thing is now I need to know what is causing the prices not to show in the feed when using regular variables. If you are not aware of any known systemic issue after an upgrade then it has to be another plugin interfering.

    Have a great day!

    Hello,

Yes, you’re correct, you may use the WPML Multi-currency plugin on your website; in our recent version, it creates an issue since it’s not compatible with our Free version. We specified the issue and are working on it. hopefully, you will find the issue resolved in an upcoming version. In the meantime, you can use version 6.3.12 to resolve the issue.

you are definitely on the money Shahed! I do use WPML so that’s probably the culprit.

Looking forward to the update then

    Have a great weekend!

Great news! Thanks so much for taking the time to let me know.

I have changed back the variable mappings and tested the feed generation positively.

    Appreciated!

    Hi Shahed,

I just upgraded to the PRO version of the plugin to have filtering options and I have again issues with the pricing.

Now the Sales Price appears empty and makes my pinterest feed fail

In the free version, the issue with prices and WPML was fixed. Is this a new thing or it wasn’t fixed in the PRO version?

    Thanks
