IMPORTANT: WordPress Latest.zip – wrong download?

  • Has anyone else found that the latest.zip on the wordpress download page is version 2.2.2 whilst the tar.gz file is 2.3.3

    This has caused me quite a bit of hassle with my database and while I think I have the problem solved now, this seems a silly error for WordPress.

  • no. I just downloaded both, and the version.php in both says 2.3.3 as do the file names.

    Ha. I see now they’ve changed it back, but damn sure it was 2.2.2 at the bottom of my installation after install on the zip…!!
