Imported DB to new blog Now caught in redirect loop

Installing WordPress on a new site and uploading the database from the old site usually won’t work. This documentation in the Codex explains the only sure way that I know of to move a WordPress site, which is essentially what you are trying to do: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Moving_WordPress

Yeah i just realized on my old server wordpress was located at https://www.mysite.com/review/

on the new server I have worpress in the top directory https://www.mysite.com
is this going to cause a problem too.

I have now changed it so it maps the old website https://www.mysite.com/reviews/
and i still get a white page.I have moved all the data from my old website into the same named folder.

I assume the database is connecting because there is no username or password error.

I was wondering does the database from my old website have a user name and password inside of it or does it take on the username and password of the database it is being absorbed into?
