Imported RSS files have things like ” ' ” instead of ” ‘ “

  • I’m continuing to try some funny stuff and experiment with migration from my current blog @ Blog-City to WordPress. Unfortunately, WordPress doesn’t seem to have an XML importer (my blog can backup in XML) so I’ve been testing with some RSS files.

    For some reason, certain characters like apostrophes show up as ” ' ” instead of what they should — ” ‘ ” An example of this can be seen here:

    Any reason why it does this, and also, is there an easy way WordPress can import the standard XML files I have? I’m still very confuzzled about some of these things but starting to get a grip. Thanx a lot! ??
