I am testing your plugin and I am not able to import images from their URLs. I’ve tried using Post/Featured Image, and ACF/Image fields with the same results.

    What could be the problem?

    Hi trishahdee

I have confirmed that your image URL is correct. However, can you also confirm whether the images appear in the WordPress media library? If not, please upload your images to the WordPress media library.

Typically, when an image is registered in the WordPress media library, its URL follows this structure:?domain_name/wp-content/uploads/year/month/image_name.?

    For example: https://www.example.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/image300.jpg.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

    Thank you

AH! That was it. After I uploaded the images to the Media Library and added their URLs to the CSV, everything works as expected.

FYI, that should be mentioned somewhere in your documentation.

Thank you for the quick reply!

Great! In the next update, I will add functionality to automatically register images in the WordPress media library if they are not already registered.

    Thank you

When you say “register” do you mean just a database entry, or do you mean that the image will be added TO the Media Library from whatever URL is entered in the CSV? I ask because my client has over 10,000 images to add to the custom gallery I’m creating. It would be nice to have all the images in a directory somewhere and then have them uploaded in the Media Library automatically. Hey, a girl can dream, right? ??

    Thanks again.

When I say ‘register,’ I mean creating a database entry for the image while also uploading it to the Media Library if it’s not already there. It might take some time to process that many images depending on their size and server resources, so please use optimize images ( compress & nextgen formate ) & don’t forget to adjust chunk size in?CSV Importer Plus for ACF?according to your server for better results, dreams do come true!??? and i will let you know once i added this funtionality.?

    Thank you

Wow. You just brought tears to my eyes ?? That would be so great. I look forward to this as it will make my client’s managing of his website a lot easier.

    Thank you so much!
