Could someone please help, I am a new user and frankly the jargon related to wordpress is like a foreign language.

I need to learn how to import an article from another site onto my WP site.

Specifically, I want to republish an article from https://www.populararticles.com On that site it says to simply copy and paste my chosen article to my blog.

It is at this point I am lost.

I have gone into tools then import on my WP dashboard where it shows seven catagories such as Blogger,Blogroll, ect: to install.

Please help me understand how to simply import an article into my WP site.

    Thank You very much

  • The copy and paste thing is just that–in WordPress Add a new post, then when you get to the post content, select, copy, and then paste, the text from that other site.

    Thanks Michael,
I have copied and pasted the article I want to republish into the add post window.
Please advise on how to complete the action so the article shows up on my site.

    Regards,

    Michael,

I now see how to publish the article on my site, The problem now is that when I preview the article (Have not yet published it) there is weird symbols mixed in with the text.

I am not sure if these symbols will dissapear when I publish the article.

Would you be willing to take a look on my WP site and advise.

    Thankls,

    Bill

The post is now published at https://www.flipserge.com

When adding a new post, click on the HTML tab then paste that text/html there.
