Importing an Outside WP Template

  • I want to change my template. I want to import an outside template that is not available on WP, but from another website. I cannot install the template. How can I do that?

  • As long that what you’re referring to is a WordPress theme template. Download the theme zip into your computer. Either, unzip the theme then FTP upload the theme folder to your wp-contents/themes/ folder then activate the theme in Appearance > Themes. Or, Add the theme through upload zip utility in Appearance > Add New and then activate the theme in Appearance > Themes.

    I have no idea where the wp-contents/themes/folder is. I am new at doing this. I need some step by step instructions.
