Importing Blogger posts to WordPress

I have been unsuccessful with importing posts and comments from Blogger to WordPress. I have 28,000 posts and 2,000 comments. The importing of posts stopped at 17,000 and will not resume. This after numerous attempts including rebooting the computer. Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful to me as it is important that I import all 28,000 posts.
