Hi I’m scared to import demo content. Will importing demo content affect the active theme? I don’t want that to happen! I just want the content to affect the behind the scenes child theme selected through the plug in. Here is the themes demo install instructions(missing images):
    Demo Content

Our themes have simple One click dummy data import tool. It’s very easy to use, and you can get precise copy of our demo website in just 1 click.

Before installing demo data make sure you have installed all required plugins, please refer to Plugins installation section of this document for details.

IMPORTANT: When installing demo-data ALL EXISTING CONTENTS of your website will be deleted and replaced with the new data! We highly recommend that you install demo data only on blank WordPress install.

To import demo content into a WordPress site follow these steps:

Log in to your site as an administrator.
If you see a message prompting to install ThemeREX Utilities plugin – click on “Begin installing plugins” and install it on the corresponding page.
IMPORTANT: The rest of recommended plugins (for example, Revolution Slider, Visual Composer, and others) are not mandatory for installation of demo content but recommended.

Go to Appearance > Install Dummy Data:

On the page that showed up please set the required parameters.
Only pages, forms and sliders – Allows to select the content you need to be imported for a definite page, slider, etc. It is recommended when the site is already built.

Whole demo-site content – Allows to import whole demo content. It is recommended for new installations of WordPress.
IMPORTANT: When installing whole demo-data ALL EXISTING CONTENTS of your website will be deleted and replaced with the new data! We highly recommend that you install demo data only on blank WordPress install.

Click on “Install Demo Data” button.
IMPORTANT: Please wait while demo data is being copied from our server to your site. It may take a while and depends significantly upon Internet connection speed between your website and our server. Please wait patiently and do not refresh/leave the page.

Glad to help. Here are some points that should be useful in understanding how things work:

With WP, the database stores all the data, and the theme determines how that data is displayed on the front-end.

So what Theme Switcha does is enable you to switch to a different theme, so you can make changes to to the theme template (i.e., its files).

Regardless of which theme you are using, any data (e.g., posts, demo data, widgets, etc.) that you add will be added to the database. So any theme that you enable will display the same data on the frontend, only each theme will do it in different ways, according to its design, etc. (because that’s what themes do).

That’s about as simple/basic as I can explain it, hopefully it helps. Let me know if I can provide any further infos.
