• For months now I’ve had numerous issues with The Events Calendar, from no end time events, to getting 404 errors after adding events. I believe that My Calendar solves many of the issues but I can’t find anything on importing my multiple events and locations. I did finally find a WP Export plugin that created a CSV file but I believe it needs to be edited before importing. I would really appreciate any help on this. Thank you.

Hi! I’m in process on creating a tool to migrate from The Events Calendar, but it won’t be completed for a couple of months.

Thanks for letting me know. I’ll look forward to it and keep struggling for now.

Your documentation shows the following –

My Calendar Pro can?import events from CSV or iCal sources, either via file upload or?URL?(Uniform Resource Locator). Managing events outside of My Calendar? Import them when you’re ready!

but the link does not work. I do have a CSV file from The Events Calendar but I read somewhere that it had to be edited to work with your plugin.

    Appreciate your help.

I’ll have to review old versions of that page; that’s an in-page link, so it seems like all it would have done is link elsewhere on the page, but I don’t remember.

But there’s more info here: https://docs.joedolson.com/my-calendar-pro/settings-importer/

Well, even more confusion. As I said I used the WP Export plugin to create a CSV file from The Events Calendar, but although I could open it in Notepad, which is totally useless, I could not open it in Excel. Now I guess the choice is to start fresh with your plugin and reenter all the events and locations, a monumental task, but I can’t keep struggling with The Events Calendar, who pay no attention to the many issues.

The biggest issue is that they have no way to show events with no specific end time, so the events show the same start and end times, which is dumb. Not sure if it is your plugin but one did have a simple checkbox to hide the end time. I also hope that Canada can be shown as the default so I don’t need to add it to every location. Pricing is also an issue because many events have a different price to buy now and another at the door price. The major issue they ignore is that once you add an event you just get a 404 error until you update the event. Any feature image also appears on top of the event title which they also ignored.

As much as I hate to need to start over for some three hundred events and numerous locations I don’t think I have a choice when there is no way to properly import everything.

    Appreciate your help.
