Importing MT Entries without Access to the MT Login

  • Hi-

    I have read about how to import MT entries into a WP blog using the mt-import.php, etc. However, here is my situation.

    I currently do not have access to my MT installation. After some unexpected glitches, I tried to upgrade to MT 3.31. That has not worked so well, and after 3 days of trying to get help from MT support, I would like to try to switch to WP (which I use on two other blogs with which I am associated).

    At this moment, I do not have access to my MT installation and I’d rather no go through the work of fixing MT to swith to WP. I do, however, have access to my archived posts through FTP/File manager.

    So, my question is this: Is it possible to import my old MT entries (3+ years’ worth) into a WP installation without using the import/export features of MT and WP.

    If I can get them into WP, I am more than happy to make corrections over time to get them to look right, I just don’t want to wait to fix MT before switching.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
