• I need to import about 100 Word files (RTF) into my WordPress Blog. Anyone have any ideas? I found some posts for a single word file but need to do this in bulk – atleast 20-30 at a time. Ide like to keep the formatting as it is as well.

  • I’d like this too, if anyone knows an answer!

I have a bunch of files that I’d like to upload as posts.

Alternately, can I somehow put them on an excel spreadsheet and then upload that?

    Does anyone know?

I’m not sure you can do it, I’m afraid. I’ve not found any plugins that will let you do it, at any rate.

any news on how to do this yet? I have moved all my files over to an excel file but can’t figure out how to convert this to a usable xml file. I thought this might be the way but it is killing me.

One bloke I know did this by saving some 30-odd “rtf” files as “html” documents and then copying and pasting portions of them into the WP post textarea. Of course, this didn’t work because Word produces rubbish markup. So, he resorted to copying each Word document into a plain text editor, converting it to Markdown and then pasting into the WP post textarea.

I believe there are some rtf to text converters around but I haven’t tried any.
