Importing not commpleting correctly

  • 3.2 install using a backup of a former single site. When i do the import it asks do i want to to create users or use existing ones. Considering that wp no longer allows uppercase usnernames I have tried both letting it create users(which fials) and i ahve manually created the users but in lowercase format. Either way the only posts that import are the ones for my username(the admin). Any ideas?

  • Did you make those new user accounts you created Users of your new site? Unless they’ve been explicitly granted access to the site, they can’t become owners of imported posts.

    When you export the .xml file, you can edit it and change the author name from Ipstenu to ipstenu, for example. That may work.
