    The old site was https://stopcommoncorenh.org/sccnh

    The new site is https://stopcommoncorenh.org/sccnh

Old DB name was (example) xxx_yyy

New DB name is (example) zzz_yyy

Same folder, same URL. Basic set up is good.

So I log in and install my fave theme.

Now to get the old site’s content into this one.

When I import it, it erases my log in and I can’t get in! Good thing I saved the basic or I would not have been able to get back inside WP

So I imported the new one back and now I’m in but still don’t have the content in there.. How to do this without screwing up my login? I used the same email I think…

There are about 800 posts on the old website that I need to get back.

I’m in a panic here. Please someone help!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Make sure you’re restoring it following these steps: https://developer.www.ads-software.com/advanced-administration/security/backup/database/#restoring-your-database-from-backup

And, make sure that the wp-config.php file has the right info for the restored database, including the right table prefix: https://developer.www.ads-software.com/apis/wp-config-php/#table-prefix

OK I found the old passwords, imported the old DB, and then was able to log in and update the DB.

It’s all working although I have to rearrange what I’d already done, but that’s not a problem.

It was the content I was missing!

Now I just have to figure out why all my images are NOT showing up. How do I fix that? The URL is now https://

I was going to re-upload the media files all 163 of then one by one BUT, now that won’t let me do it either!!! There has GOT to be some reason why the files which were included when I imported the DB, now just show up as gray squares in the media library. When I clicked on one to edit it, it showed up but that is the only place.

I have never had this problem before. Is this because the URL changed to https:// ? How to fix this?

I discovered why the media wasn’t showing up — the uploads folder had the wrong permissions!

Once I fixed that the items did show up in the media library… not just a gray square.

HOWEVER I am trying to fix some graphics but it won’t show them on the page.

Example: There was an old graphic that was just ‘screen shot’ and I wanted to fix it so I knew what it was. So I got the graphic, renamed it, and uploaded it. At first it refused to go in the 2024 folder and kept going back into the 2017 folder.

So I deleted all the files via my FTP and started again with a new name on the file.

Uploaded again and it is STILL going into the 2017 folder!!!!

    This is weird behavior, no???

Plus on the page it won’t show up, except when you click on it, it will show up in the browser. All permissions were fixed on that too.

But what of this putting it in the same folder when it’s not even named the same?

I even took a screen shot of it, then renamed it, and it still goes to the old folder. I am still not sure why it doesn’t show up.

    STRANGE! Please someone help.
