Importing PO files

Yes indeed. All the same file formats are supported.

If you’ve prepared your files in the correct place already, Loco will just pick them up. If not then you may have to rename them and ensure that the themes and plugins declare the correct text domain.

Generally you should name your POT files <domain>.pot where <domain> is the text domain used for translations. Themes and plugins should declare this (as shown in previous link) and also declare the Domain Path, which is often something like languages/ under the theme root.

Naming conventions for translated PO and MO files have a few variants. Let me know if you get stuck and I can advise more specifically.
