Importing Post Tags from HTML

The HTML files I am importing contain post tags, such as

<div class='post_tags'>
<h4>Tags</h4>
<div class='post_tags_list'>tag0, tag1</div>
</div>

Is there a way to use custom fields so that the imported post is tagged “tag0” and “tag1”?
