I have no problem importing products using the plugin but my urls don’t work for the images. If I check out the url using a browser it works fine.

The URLs are file urls using the format ” file:// <filename>”. I don’t want to separately upload all my 3000 images to the media library because I only use 600-700 of them, if I import the image as part of the product I do not have to do a separate import and then go to the media library to associate the product and image

    Hi @texasbrit,

Thanks for reaching out to support.

In order to import images into the products using the URL, the URL has to be publicly accessible. The plugin does not support importing images from the desktop directly.

If you have the image files in the system, then you may upload the images to the media library and then specify the image name in the CSV file to link them to the products.

Yes, I have read your documentation. But why can i mport images directly to the media file using my filename, but not if the image is part of a product? Does not make much sense. And yes I know I can get all the images the images into the media file, but then I have to associate each uploaded product with an image in the media file, a major project especially since the media file images do not display the image name unless you do them individually. That means you need someone doing this who can recognize the image for a particular product, so it has to be someone who knows what all the products look like.

    Unfortunate to say the least.
